Delete your account

You can do this yourself, from inside the app. You do not need to ask us, and we do not need to approve it.

How to do it

  1. Open Glow and go to the Settings tab.
  2. Scroll to Danger zone at the bottom and tap Delete account.
  3. If you might have an active subscription, Glow first reminds you that deleting your account does not cancel it, and offers Manage subscription. Tap Continue when you are ready.
  4. Tap Delete to confirm. Deletion starts straight away and cannot be undone.
  5. If you sign in with Apple, Apple may ask you to confirm once more, so Glow can also give up its access to your Apple ID. Your account is deleted even if you close that sheet.

Cancel your subscription too

Deleting your account does not stop Apple billing you. Cancel the subscription in your Apple ID settings, before or after deleting. Just make sure you do.

What gets deleted

  • Every scan, with its results and its routine
  • Every photo Glow holds for you: any selfie not yet deleted, and your profile photo
  • Your skin profile, your age answer and your consent, including the record of when you gave or withdrew it
  • Your subscription status, your daily scan count and the subscription events we received
  • The notification tokens for your devices
  • Your account record, with your name, email address and profile photo link
  • Your sign-in itself

On your phone, Glow then signs you out, cancels its routine reminders and clears any sign-up answers it still holds.

What deletion does not reach

  • Apple's own record of your purchases, kept under Apple's policies
  • RevenueCat's customer records, kept under its own retention schedule
  • Crash reports already sent to Firebase Crashlytics, which contain no face or skin data, kept under Google's schedule
  • Server log entries containing your account ID, until our logging service deletes them automatically
  • If you used Continue with Google, Glow's place in your Google Account's connected apps, until you remove it there
  • The offline copy the app keeps on your phone, until you delete the app

If you cannot reach the app, because the phone is lost or you cannot sign in, email help@daappventures.com and we will delete it for you once we can confirm the account is yours. The Privacy Policy has the full detail.
